The terminal operator is always striving to enhance its operations to fulfill its productivity, cost management, and service level goals. To improve the terminal’s uptime and service levels, the operator was required to organize repair activities so that high-capacity periods were not disrupted. Crane monitoring of the port’s cranes was recognized to give the data needed to drastically decrease unscheduled maintenance and improve terminal uptime.
