These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Budgeting and Cost Tracking by Zen, an application available through the Atlassian Marketplace for Jira Cloud. By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Definitions

  • App: Refers to Budgeting and Cost Tracking by Zen, developed and provided by Zen Networks and available through the Atlassian Marketplace.
  • Customer: Refers to any individual, company, organization, or other entity that installs, accesses, or uses the App.
  • Services: Refers to the budgeting and cost-tracking functionalities provided by the App, including budget management, cost tracking, cost allocation, financial reporting, and dashboard features.
  • Atlassian Marketplace: Refers to the marketplace operated by Atlassian through which the App is made available to Customers.
  • Payment: Refers to the subscription or license fees applicable to the App, which are processed through Atlassian in accordance with Atlassian Marketplace policies.

Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Your use of the App is also subject to the applicable Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use, Atlassian policies, and any other terms applicable to your use of Jira Cloud.

If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you must not install or use the App.

Description of the App

Budgeting and Cost Tracking by Zen is designed to help Jira Cloud users manage project and epic budgets and monitor associated costs.

Depending on the features available in your version of the App, the Services may include:

  • Creating and managing budgets for projects and epics.

  • Tracking costs automatically from Jira worklogs.

  • Adding expenses manually.

  • Assigning costs to specific users or teams.

  • Monitoring budget usage, costs, and progress.

  • Viewing budget and cost information through customizable dashboards and visualizations.

The App is intended to support project and financial management within Jira. It does not constitute financial, accounting, tax, or other professional advice.

License and Authorized Use

Subject to these Terms and the applicable Atlassian Marketplace license conditions, Zen Networks grants the Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for its internal business purposes.

The Customer agrees not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, modify, or redistribute the App except as expressly permitted by applicable law or written authorization.

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.

  • Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.

  • Interfere with the security, integrity, or operation of the App or related Atlassian services.

  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially distribute the App without prior written authorization from Zen Networks.

Zen Networks provides support for the App through the following contact:

Support response targets are generally as follows:

  • Critical Issues: Response within 24 hours.

  • General Queries: Response within 48 hours.

These response times are targets and may vary depending on the nature, complexity, and circumstances of the issue.

Payment and Billing

The App is commercially licensed and payments are processed through the Atlassian Marketplace in accordance with Atlassian’s applicable billing and payment policies.

Zen Networks does not independently process Marketplace subscription payments.

For questions relating to billing, subscriptions, invoices, refunds, or payment processing handled directly by Atlassian, Customers may need to contact Atlassian Support in accordance with Atlassian’s Marketplace policies.

User Data and Privacy

The App operates within the Atlassian environment and integrates with Jira Cloud.

The App may access or process data necessary to provide its budgeting and cost-tracking functionalities, including information available through Jira such as worklogs, users, projects, epics, and cost-related information configured by the Customer.

Zen Networks processes personal data in accordance with its applicable Privacy Policy and relevant data protection laws.

The Customer remains responsible for ensuring that its use of the App and the data entered or processed through the App complies with applicable laws, internal policies, and Atlassian’s terms.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to Budgeting and Cost Tracking by Zen, including its software, design, features, documentation, branding, and related materials, remain the property of Zen Networks or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the App or any related intellectual property to the Customer.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or use of the App or its intellectual property is prohibited.

Atlassian and Jira are trademarks of Atlassian, and the App is provided through the Atlassian Marketplace. Zen Networks is an independent provider of the App.

Third-Party Services

The App relies on Atlassian services and Jira Cloud functionality to operate.

Zen Networks is not responsible for interruptions, changes, limitations, or failures caused by Atlassian or other third-party services outside Zen Networks’ reasonable control.

Your use of Jira Cloud and other Atlassian services remains subject to Atlassian’s applicable terms and policies.

Availability and Changes to the App

Zen Networks aims to maintain the availability and functionality of the App but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Zen Networks reserves the right to modify, update, improve, suspend, or discontinue certain features of the App when reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, technical, or product development purposes.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will become effective when published on the relevant Zen Networks website or made otherwise available to Customers.

Disclaimer

The App is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Zen Networks makes no guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, completely error-free, or suitable for every specific business requirement.

Budget, cost, and financial information generated through the App should be reviewed and validated by the Customer before being relied upon for business, accounting, financial, or management decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zen Networks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the App.

Zen Networks shall not be responsible for losses resulting from:

  • Incorrect or incomplete data entered by the Customer.

  • Misconfiguration or improper use of the App.

  • Service interruptions caused by Atlassian or other third parties.

  • Decisions made by the Customer based on information displayed or generated by the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable law.

Termination

The Customer may stop using the App at any time, subject to any applicable Atlassian Marketplace subscription or billing terms.

Zen Networks may suspend or terminate access to the App where reasonably necessary in cases of misuse, unauthorized use, violation of these Terms, security concerns, or other circumstances permitted under applicable law.

Termination of access does not affect any rights or obligations that accrued before termination.
